iv. 不定式作定语

1. 不定式与所修饰的名词成动宾关系，不定式后接的若是不及物动词应加上合适的介词。

He is a pleasant fellow to work with.

他是一个与其工作起来令人愉快的人。

There's nothing to worry about .

没有什么可担心的。

There's no need to take so much money with you.

你没有必要随身带那么多钱。

I have no room to live in.

我没有房间居住。

2. 数词和最高级修饰的名词后常跟不定式：the first, the second, the last, the best等。不定式与所修饰的名词在意义上构成主谓关系。

He is always the first to answer questions in class.

他总是课堂上第一个回答问题。

He would be the last to agree to the plan.

他将是最不同意此计划的人。

3. 有些名词后常跟不定式：time, way, right, chance, reason等，不定式与所修饰的名词成动状关系。

We have not enough time to do the job.

我们没有足够的时间做这项工作。

There's a long way to go .

还有很长的路要走。

Do you have the right to treat me like this?

你有权利这样对待我吗？

4. 作定语的不定式，为了明确其逻辑主语，有时可用“for+名词/代词+to-不定式结构”作定语。
