16　between和among最主要的区别

1　between 意为“在……之间”，表示在两个人、事物、物体之间；among 意为“在……之中，在……之间”，表示在3个或3个以上的人或物之间。

He came between 8:30 and 9:30. 他是在8点半到9点半之间来的。

What's the difference between the two books? 这两本书之间有什么不同？

The matter is between you and me. 这件事别对外人讲。（在你我之间 ）

She is sitting among her friends. 她坐在朋友们中间。

The city lies among the mountains. 这座城市位于群山之中。

2　表示三者或三者以上的人或物中“每两者之间”的关系时，要用between 。

He takes some medicine between three meals every day. 他每天在三餐之间吃药。

He shared the fruits between the three children. 他把水果分给3个孩子。

3　在涉及边界时，between 可指两个以上的国家。

Switzerland lies between France, Italy and Germany. 瑞士位于法国、意大利和德国之间。
