A team of refugees will compete for the first time atthis summer's Olympics in Rio. Previously, athleteswho did not represent a country were not allowed tocompete.

　　今夏在里约热内卢举行的奥运会将首次迎来一支由难民组成的代表队。而在此之前，仅有代表本国的运动员才能参加竞技。

　　The team will likely number between five and 10athletes, the committee said in a statement, and"will be treated at the Olympic Games like all theother teams."

　　奥委会在一份声明中表示，这个队伍将由5-10名运动员组成，“他们会与其他队伍一样被同等对待”。

　　"By welcoming Refugee Olympic Athletes to the Olympic Games in Rio, we want to send amessage of hope to all the refugees of the world," said International Olympic CommitteePresident Thomas Bach.

　　Here's more from Bach: "Having no national team to belong to, having no flag to marchbehind, having no national anthem to be played, these refugee athletes will be welcomed tothe Olympic Games with the Olympic flag and with the Olympic Anthem. They will have a hometogether with all the other 11,000 athletes from 206 National Olympic Committees in theOlympic village."

　　巴赫表示：“这些难民运动员将不属于任何国家队，不会跟随国旗列队而过，也没有国歌为他们奏响。奥运会欢迎他们，奥林匹克旗帜将为他们而升起，奥林匹克会歌将为他们而奏。他们和其他来自206个奥委会成员的11000名运动员一样，属于奥运村这个大家庭。”

　　The IOC said it has identified 43 contenders for the places on the team and the final group willbe announced in June. Along with athletic prowess, potential team members will beassessed by "official refugee status verified by the United Nations, and personal situation andbackground."

　　奥委会表示最后参加队伍的人将从43名竞争者中选出，结果将于6月宣布。除了运动技能之外，联合国官方认可的难民身份，个人情况以及背景都是考察评估的因素。

　　A refugee would also carry the torch during the Greek leg of the flame relay. The team willmarch in the opening ceremony on Aug 5 just before the athletes from host Brazil.

　　据悉，一名难民还将参与希腊站的圣火传递活动。在8月5日举行的开幕式上，难民代表队将在东道主巴西队前出场。
