Since 2016, government subsidies have been available for the purchase of assistive devices for the disabled, such as robots with exoskeletons in Beijing. Low income and unemployed disabled people as well as disabled children under the age of 16 can enjoy 100% subsidy. Other groups with disabilities can enjoy up to 50% subsidies. A mechanism has been introduced to ensure high quality devices being supplied at the lowest price. Currently, 120 companies in Beijing provide 2,089 assistive devices in 84 categories. The list will be adjusted according to market demand and supply.

2016年，本市出台了《北京市残疾人辅助器具服务管理办法》，购买外骨骼机器人等残疾人的辅助器具都可以获得政府补贴。比如低保、低收入、失业、无稳定收入的和16岁以下的残疾儿童可以按照补贴标准的100%进行补贴，其他类的残疾人可以按照这个补贴标准的50%进行保障。目前，本市辅具供应企业有120家，辅具目录包括84个种类2089个产品，并根据市场供应情况动态调整目录。
