《蚕妇吟》作者是南宋进士谢枋得。全诗借富贵人家的女人歌舞彻夜不归，来反衬蚕妇生活的辛苦。

子规啼彻四更时，起视蚕稠怕叶稀。
不信楼头杨柳月，玉人歌舞未曾归。

Before dawn rise those women cuckoo's song grieves,
Afriad there are more silkworms than mulberry leaves.
Could they believe the moon over the willow trees,
Has seen fair dancers dance all night long without cease?
