may, might 可能；也许

It may clear up this afternoon. 今天下午可能会放晴。

Her father may not agree with her staying out overnight.

她父亲可能不同意她在外面过夜。

This morning I thought it might rain, so I brought an umbrella.

今天早上我以为可能会下雨，所以我带了一把伞。

might不一定是may的过去式，表示的可能性比may来得小。

"I might hit the jackpot." "Yeah, and pigs might fly."

「我可能会中大乐透头彩。」 「是啊，猪也可能会飞。」
