would

would可以是will的过去式

He promised he would study hard.

他保证他会用功。

He said he would not(wouldn't) cut classes anymore.

他说他再也不逃学了。

He told me if he had enough money, he would study abroad.

他跟我说，如果他有足够的钱，他会出国念书。

would like (=want)

What would you like for dessert, ice cream, pudding, or cake?

你的甜点要什么，冰淇淋、布丁、还是蛋糕？

I'd like a piece of cheese cake. 我想要一片起司蛋糕。

How would you like your coffee? 你想喝什么样的咖啡？

I'd like my coffee black. 我要喝纯咖啡，不加奶精跟糖。
