As a Senior Three student in China，during my twelve years' study，I often hear such words like Chinese students' lack of creativity，which is a popular concept around westerners．In their impressions，Chinese students just study from dawn till dusk and don't have much time for creative thinking，and as a result of it，they are all dull and lacking in creativity．

However，in my point of view，such concept is not so much a mistake as a misunderstanding．First of all，as the old saying goes，“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”，Chinese students also have time to do some interesting things with new ideas brought forth．Nowadays，many creativity competitions are held and thus a large number of creative ideas come into existence．What's more，not only in leisure time but also during our study can we be full of creativity．Most Chinese students are not so talkative and open as students in western countries，and such shy students usually say nothing about their new ideas，which may mislead people to have the concept，mentioned above，that Chinese students are lacking in creativity．Last but not least，knowledge is the foundation of creativity．There is no denying that only with a large amount of knowledge from every aspect can we create practical ideas instead of a vain dream．So to some extent，we Chinese students are now accumulating knowledge and laying the foundation for a better creativity．

To sum up，such concept comes into being because foreigners don't know us very well，and what we need to do now is to pay much attention to it and show our creativity as much as possible so that we will have a bright new future．
