The foreign high school student，Amy，is going to pay her first visit to Shanghai．I feel it a great honor to accompany her．Of all the scenic spots in Shanghai，I'd like to choose the Bund as our destination．

Located along the Huangpu River，the Bund is one of the most beautiful and famous tourist attractions of Shanghai．Various buildings lining the narrow shoreline，offer a living exhibition of various countries' architectural styles．When night falls，colorful lights illuminate the whole area and the river，creating a dreamy and romantic image．Besides，we have access to the attractive new tunnel，Huangpu Park and other places of interest，for they are all within the same area．

So appealing is the Bund that the reasons why I choose it are beyond words，but there are three worth mentioning．First and foremost，the Bund demonstrates the recent history of our city and represents the combination of Chinese and western elements．Amy can experience the cultural，financial and commercial atmosphere there，on account of those once commercially used buildings．In the second place，the beautiful night view there is second to none in Shanghai．Amy will have the chance to enjoy the charm of the modern metropolis，dazzled．Last but not least，the special location of the Bund counts a lot．Apart from the conventional walkway，the Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower can be seen standing opposite the Bund，showing the fast development of Shanghai．

What a nice place the Bund is！I sincerely hope Amy will immerse herself in the unique Shanghai culture through this visit．
