In the picture，we can see a student running towards the full mark in English，physics and other subjects with his parents' encouragement．He is so buried in it that totally neglects development in mental health，quality and so on．

After seeing the picture，I cannot help falling into deep thought．I think what the picture reveals is a social problem．Students now are always taught to improve academic performance while little emphasis is laid on their all-around development．As far as I'm concerned，this educational pattern is very short-sighted．Firstly，we can't judge a student only by his academic performance．As we all know，Albert Einstein once did poorly in his school work in primary school but made significant contributions to the whole human race when he grew up．Besides，compared with ability and mental development，academic performance is not so important to a person．What we should do is to make all-round people of students rather than those with high marks but poor abilities．Last but not least，contrary to one's expectation，too much emphasis on study may lead to a heavy burden on students，denying them chance to enjoy studying．Many failed students may become sick of study and even drop out．

The picture does reveal some problems worthy of our concern．For both students，parents and educators，more emphasis should be laid on how to make all-round people of students．
