As is shown in the picture above，every fall when college starts，an interesting scene can be spotted in the university campuses—while the will-be freshmen are busy around the buildings for registration，their parents also come to the campuses with luggage in their hands．

This comic is actually stating how seriously the parents take when their children are leaving home to an adult's school life．In my opinion，it is understandable for the parents to take care of their kids but they should never overprotect the young adults too much．

Because of the one-child policy and growing economy of China，parents are always trying to give their children the best in education，environment and food．They get all problems solved and they indeed do think they are helping their children，but it is their overprotection that leads to their children's lack of independence．By doing what the students are supposed to do，the parents have just deprived their children of the chance to be independent and gain the skill of organizing their own lives，which will actually harm their future later on．

It is up to the government educational system and schools to help the parents realize that 18-year-old college students are not babies any more．What the parents should do is to guide their children instead of doing everything for them．I do hope such a dramatic and ridiculous scene described in the picture will be eliminated when the new term starts on the university campuses．
