This istownship-run kindergarten. It was set up in 1985 by Red Star Township. Eightypercent of the children are from peasants’ family. At first, there were onlythree teachers and twenty children, there was very little equipment and it waspoorly furnished so parents didn’t like to send their children there.

During thepast few years, great changes have taken place. A new building has taken theplace of the house made of the earth. The township provided the kindergartenwith a lot of advanced equipment such as computers, pianos and TV sets. Thenumber of children has increased to 200, the number of teachers to more than20. Now parents are willing to send their children to the kindergarten.
