Students and teachers need to be _aware_ that the ethnocentric _attitude_ of writers are _precisely_ the way cultural __conflict_ is encouraged. Why is understanding a culture always the others’ _responsibility_ ? Is it not _possible_ that each culture could be made aware of different _conventions_? _Both sides must work at rising above cultural differences and be willing to compromise_… and, in both cases, _most likely neither side has access to the cultural conventions of the other_  so __blaming is not the answer
