A: And are you familier with the different learner types?

B: A little bit, yes, I encounter different kinds of learners in my classrooms.
稍微了解一些，我在课堂上遇到过很多种不同的学习者。
A: OK, so for example, what kind of learner are you?
好，那你属于哪种学习者？
B: I think possibly more than one, maybe overlap on a couple, but primarily a visual learner so I'd have to take it in through my eyes usually like with a picture. I certainly have to see a word if I'm learning a language. I have to see it written down.
我想我可能不是单纯的一种类型，我可能是两种类型的混合，不过基本上来说，我属于视觉型学习者，所以我必须要通过视觉来学习，比如借助图片之类的辅助。如果我学习一门语言，那我一定要看到那个单词。我一定要看到书写出来的那个词。
A: So you need a phonetic script? You need something?
所以你需要注音字母？你要借助其他东西？
B: I need something visual.
我需要视觉上的东西。
A: Yeah for it to stick in your head?
嗯，这样才能记在脑子里？
B: For it to stay in my mind, it has to have a visual. I can't just hear it for example. I can't just hear a word and remember it. I have to have some sort of visual to connect it to.
对，为了在脑子里记住，我需要视觉上的辅助。我不能只是用听来学习。单单是听到一个单词，我记不住。我必须要借助视觉来建立联系。
A: OK, so you're a visual learner, anything else?

B: I think it's called a visual learner. I don't know the technical term for it but an emotional learner if a...
我认为这应该叫做视觉型学习者。我不知道专业术语，不过我也是情感型学习者……
A: Really?

B: Yeah. If a piece of information or the thing that I'm learning is attached to an emotional experience, I store it very definitively. I can remember it. I can recall it. If it's just a neutral, say a sentence, I can't remember it. It has to have a back story. It has to have an emotional connection somehow.
对。如果我学习的信息同一种情感经历联系起来，那我肯定记得很清楚。这样我可以记住。我可以回忆起来。如果一个句子只是陈述中立的情况，那我就记不住。一定要有背景故事，要有一种情感联系。
A: Right. It has to have some connection?
好。一定要有联系吗？
B: Yes, yeah. Usually a personal story especially humor. If there's a joke involved, if it made me laugh at the time of learning it. I'm a laughter learner, I don't know if that's a real one but definitely an emotional response makes it much more easy for me to learn something.
对，没错。通常是个人的故事，尤其是幽默。如果是一个笑话，那个笑话在我学习的时候让我笑了。我是一个笑声型学习者，我不知道那是不是真的，但是情感反应会让我在学习的时候更容易。
