First of all, let me say, I am sure you will find my talk interesting and informative.
1.
a) If I had to describe my favorite school subject, I would choose to speak about the subject Biology.
b) I am not sure if you liked Biology when you were at school.
2.
a) In high school Mr. Liang was my favorite teacher, and he taught me Biology.
b) That is to say, he was such a good teacher and made the study material so interesting that I came to love the subject that he taught.
There are several reasons as for why I would like to talk specifically about Biology as a subject that I liked very much. Allow me to explain by mentioning some of them briefly.

a) First of all, I love nature and the outdoors.
b) What I mean to say is that Biology enables me to know more about nature, and I am able to go out and often practically see what I have learnt.

a) Secondly, in Biology we learn a lot about animals.
b) For instance, we get to know why animals behave in the way that they do. I love animals, so I find it very interesting to know more about them.

a) Lastly, I believe that the destruction of the environment is the greatest problem facing our planet today, and we need to find solutions to
the problems.
b) That is to say, I would like to become a biologist one day, and make a contribution in our fight to save the environment from total destruction.
