一、一般疑问句
一般疑问句（general questions）主要是对某一情况是不是事实提出质疑，需要用肯定词yes或否定词no回答，因此也可以叫作是非疑问句（yes-no question），朗读时一般疑问句句尾多用升调。
（一）一般疑问句的结构
一般疑问句的结构由陈述句的结构改变谓语动词的位置而成，可以分为三种情况。
1.含有be动词的句子改成一般疑问句的方法很简单，将be动词提前。
注：some在一般疑问句中通常改成any。
2.句中含有助动词、情态动词时，将它们移至主语前面。
3.如果谓语动词是行为动词，它前面又没有任何助动词或情态动词，这时需要在主语前加助动词do（第三人称单数一般现在时用does；一般过去时态用did）构成一般疑问句，行为动词一律用原形。
（二）一般疑问句的回答方式
一般疑问句的肯定回答用“yes”，后接简略式的肯定结构；否定回答用“no”，后接简略形式的否定结构。
— Are you Miss Zhang？ —Yes，I am ./ No，I' m not.
— Do you always get up early on Sundays？ —Yes，I do ./ No，I do n't.
— Does Tom like watching cartoons？ —Yes，he does ./ No，he does n't.
— Did Jack write a letter to his girlfriend last night？ —Yes，he did ./ No，he did n't.
— Will Lucy cook dinner for her family tonight？ —Yes，she will ./ No，she won't .
