1.个体名词：表示某类人或事物中的个体

2.集体名词：表示若干个个体组成的集合体

【提示】

①the police表示“警察”时，谓语动词用复数。

The police are searching for the suspect.警察正在追捕那个嫌疑犯。

②表示警察个体时用policeman/policewoman。

The wounded policeman is now out of danger.受伤的警察已经脱离危险。

3.物质名词：表示无法分为个体的实物
