三、可数名词和不可数名词
1.可数名词：可以用来计数的名词，包括个体名词和集体名词
（1）可数名词前可用具体的数词来表示具体的数量。
two apples 两个苹果 four books 四本书
（2）可数名词作主语时，谓语动词的单复数与主语的单复数保持一致。
This picture is very beautiful.这幅画很美。（谓语动词用单数）
There are two cups of tea on the table.桌上有两杯茶。（谓语动词用复数）
2.不可数名词：物质名词和抽象名词
advice 建议 anger 愤怒 behaviour 行为 cloth 布料
clothing 衣服 courage 勇气 energy 能量 equipment 仪器
evidence 证据 experience 经验 fun 乐趣 furniture 家具

3.名词的修饰语
（1）可数名词的修饰语
these 这些 those 那些 few 几乎没有 a few 几个 many 许多
a good/great many 许多 a large number of 大量
Few people would agree with this.几乎没人会同意这种看法。
He has a large number of friends here.他在这儿有很多朋友。
【提示】
①a good/great many直接加复数名词。
A good many students come from Shanghai.许多学生来自上海。
A great many people have attended his lecture.许多人听过他的讲座。
②a good many of接“人称代词宾格”。
A good many of them like swimming in summer.他们中有许多人喜欢夏季游泳。
A great many of us enjoy reading in our spare time.我们中有许多人喜欢在业余时间阅读。
③a good many of接“限定词（the，these，those，形容词性物主代词）+名词”。
A good many of the students like playing computer games.许多学生喜欢打电子游戏。
A great many of these people have seen the film.这些人中有许多看过这部电影。
A good many of his students come from Shanghai.他的学生中有许多来自上海。
（2）不可数名词的修饰语
this 这个 that 那个 little 几乎没有 a little 很少 a bit of 一点儿
much 许多 a great deal of 大量 a large amount of 大量
He didn’t give me much money.他没给我很多钱。
A great deal of money is spent on research.研究工作花了许多钱。
（3）可数名词与不可数名词同时可用的修饰语
all 所有 some 一些 enough 充足的 most 大部分
a lot of/lots of 许多 plenty of 许多 a large quantity of 大量
You needn’t hurry.There’s plenty of time.你不必着急。时间多着哩。（接不可数名词）
There are plenty of men out of work.失业的人很多。（接可数名词）
A large quantity of beer was sold out.大量的啤酒被售出。（接不可数名词）
A large quantity of books were on sale.大量书籍有售。（接可数名词）

①Large quantities of books are on the table.桌上有许多书。（接可数名词）
②Large quantities of food are on the table.桌上有许多食物。（接不可数名词）
