国务院总理李克强7月9日主持召开国务院常务会议，部署加快发展现代保险服务业，决定免征新能源汽车车辆购置税，围绕推进简政放权，通过相关法律修正案草案和行政法规修改决定。

　　China will exempt electric-car buyers from purchase taxes as part of expanded State measures to boost sales of the vehicles, an executive meeting of the State Council said on Wednesday.

　　周三召开的国务院常务会议决定，我国将对电动车购买者免征购置税以促进此类汽车的销售。

　　自今年9月1日到2017年年底，国家将对新能源汽车(new-energy vehicles)免征车辆购置税(auto-purchase tax)，这里的新能源汽车包括：纯电动汽车(Blade Electric Vehicles ,简称BEV)，插电式混合动力汽车(Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle，简称PHEV)，以及燃料电池电动汽车(fuel-cell electric vehicles)。

　　To exempt buyers from purchase taxes和to waive the auto-purchase tax for new-energy vehicles均表示“免征车辆购置税”，我们也可以说buyers get tax exemption。
