The Shenzhen police force carried out a mass drill on Tuesday as it ramps up efforts to ensure public security for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

A total of 12,000 policemen, as well as 50 armored vehicles, 200 emergency unit vehicles, 1,200 motorcycles, five helicopters, eight vessels and two amphibious cars, participated in the exercise.
在行动现场，1.2万名警力整齐集结，装备精良，50辆装甲车、200辆冲锋车、1200台铁骑摩托车、5架直升机、8艘船艇、2辆水陆两栖车以及其他装备分列周围，海陆空警种齐上阵。
The drill covers anti-terrorism exercises, joint air and sea patrols and anti-riot exercises.
行动中，深圳市公安机关展开了反恐处突、海空联合巡逻、防暴等三个科目的演练。
本次演练中模拟了1500人警力面对2000名“示威者”的场面。

深圳公安发微博称，这次“深圳亮剑”行动是为了坚决打好打赢新中国成立70周年大庆安保攻坚仗，进一步凝聚警心、鼓舞士气、练兵备战，全力维护国家政治安全和社会平安稳定。
The drill is aimed at promoting police force's combat capabilities to maintain social stability and security, creating a sound environment for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC.
