A problem with squirrels

松鼠问题

Did you see my new bird feeder, Annie?

安妮 你见过我的新喂鸟器了吗

Yes, I did. I saw it last week.

见过了 上星期看到了

Well, I bought it because of the label.

我是因为标签上

It said, 'This bird feeder is squirrel-proof.'

写着 防松鼠喂鸟器 才买的

Yes, you told me that.

Well, I bought it home.

我把它拿回家

I put lot of nuts in it.

往里面放了很多果仁

And I hung it outside the kitchen window.

把它挂在了厨房窗户外面

That night, a squirrel broke into,

那晚 一只松鼠闯入了

the 'squirrel-proof' bird feeder.

It ate all the nuts.

它把所有的果仁吃了

The squirrel's tummy became enormous.

松鼠的肚子变得很大

Oh, no! Don't tell me!

The next day, I went into the kitchen.

What did I see?

A dead squirrel in my bird feeder,

outside my kitchen window!

I cut it down, and put it in a bag.

Then I took it back to the shop.
