去北极

While touring with a children's theater company I wasin a play which involved a character called the IceWoman, who wanted winter to last all year round.Throughout the play we required the help of thechildren in defeating the Ice Woman. Finally she isbanished and the old man of the village calls out asshe makes her exit, "Go to the North Pole, IceWoman!" "While most of the audience ofkindergarten youngsters cheered, one little boyburst into tears and could not be comforted. Thinking he was frightened by the Ice woman'scostume, the old man said, "It's all right, she's gone to the North Pole." With an anxiousexpression, the boy just barely managed to sob, "But that's where Santa Clause lives!"

一次，和儿童剧团一起巡回演出，剧中有个叫“冰夫人”的角色，她希望全年都是冬天。剧中我们需要孩子们的帮助来打败冰夫人。最后，冰夫人被驱逐，她逃走的时候，村子里的长者大喊：“去北极吧!冰夫人!”幼儿园的大多数小朋友都欢呼起来，可是有一个小男孩却哭得泪流满面，怎么安慰也不起作用。长者猜想他可能是被冰夫人的服装吓坏了，于是说道：“没关系，她已经去北极了。”那个小男孩一副焦虑的样子，好不容易才抽泣着说：“可是圣诞老人住在北极啊!”
