1.副词在句子中各有不同位置，归纳一下可有下面几种情况：
1)多数副词都放在所修饰动词后面(a)，若修饰的是及物动词，则放在宾语后面(b)：
a.Everything went smoothly.
一切进行顺利。
You must write carefully.
你要仔细写。
b.She didn't do it intentionally.
她不是故意这样做的。
Have a good rest tonight.
今晚好好休息。
2)频度副词位置比较特殊，一般放在所修饰动词的前面(a)，如果句中有情态动词、助动词或动词to be，就放在这类动词(第一个)的后面(b)：
a.She often does this.
她常常这样做。
I sometimes go there on business.
我有时到那里出差。
b.You must always keep this in mind.
你要经常记住这一点。
He is seldom ill.
他很少生病。
He has never been late.
他从不迟到。
2.有一些副词，如already，(not)yet，once，nearly，almost，just，really, suddenly，certainly，still，soon，surely等也放在这样的位置，如：
1) I almost forgot about it.
我差点忘掉这事了。
She suddenly fell i11.
她突然生病了。
2) You must really be careful.
你真的要小心。
We'll soon let you know.
我们不久会通知你。
上面所谈副词中也有少数可以放在谓语后面，如：
Such things do happen sometimes.
这种事的确有时会发生。
She'11 be back soon (shortly).
她不久就回来。
3.表示方式的副词有时也可以放在动词前面:
He quietly left the room.
他悄悄地离开了房间。
We gladly accepted their invitation.
我们高兴地接受了他们的邀请。
