618　slip，slide，slither，skid和glide

① slip （指走动时）滑跤，失足（slide out of place or fall by sliding）。

My foot slipped and I nearly fell. 我的脚滑了一下，差点儿摔倒了。

② slide （指在光滑的表面上平衡地）滑动，滑行（move smoothly over along a surface）。

A huge plane slid off an aerodrome runway. 一架巨型飞机滑离机场跑道。

③ slither不稳地滑动，蜿蜒地滑行（slide unsteadily）。

The boy slithered along the icy road. 这个男孩沿着结了冰的道路连跌带滑地走着。

The snake slithered into the weeds. 蛇游进了草丛。

④ skid （车轮刹住后的）滑行；（人或车等行进时因路面而向一侧）打滑。

The car braked too quickly and went into a skid. 汽车刹车过急而向一侧滑行了一段路。

⑤ glide滑行，滑翔（move noiselessly in a smooth，continuous manner，which seems easy and without effort）。

The boat glided （=slid）over the river. 船儿平滑地驶过河面。
