① take off表示“脱去”衣服、鞋子、帽子等身上穿的东西。飞机“起飞”也要用take off。

He took out his hat and shoes.

他脱下帽子和鞋子。

The plane took off at ten this morning. 飞机今天上午10点钟起飞。

② take out表示“带某人外出，取出”。

I took my girlfriend out to dinner last night. 我昨晚带女友外出吃饭。
