iii. 几个固定的部分倒装句

1. 表示“一……就……”时，用以下句型：

1）No sooner + had +主语+过去分词+ than +从句:

No sooner had they got to the field than they started to work.

they had no sooner got to The field than they started to work.

他们一到田间就开始劳动。

2）Hardly + had +主语+过去分词+when +从句:

Hardly had I arrived home when it began to rain.

我一到家，天就开始下雨。

3）Scarcely +主语+过去分词+ when + 从句

Scarcely had I lay down when (before) I went to sleep.

我一躺下就睡着了。

2. “Not only +助动词+主语+谓语+其他+ but also+（省略的）并列谓语”表示“不但……而且……”，用于说明前后并列句的情况一致，在语气上更强调后者。

Not only did he clean the room, but also he washed all the clothes.

他不仅打扫了房间，而且还洗了所有的衣服。

Not only does she like music, but also sports.

她不但喜欢音乐还喜欢运动。

注意：

1）not only ... but also连接两个并列主语时, 主语后的语序不倒装。

Not only you but also he is wrong.

不但你而且他都是错的。

Not only you but also I have been to Beijing before.

不但你而且还有我都去过北京。

2）连接两个并列分句时，not only引导的前一个分句倒装，后一个则用正常语序。

Not only should we not be afraid of difficulties, but also we should try our best to overcome them.

我们不但不应该害怕困难，而且应该尽力去克服它们。
