故事原文

Once there was a young king. He had many hobbies. He liked singing, fishing, swimming, and writing stories. His stories were very bad. But everyone said they were interesting because he was frightening.

One day the king showed his stories to a famous writer. He waited for praise as usual. But the writer said his stories were so boring that he should throw them into fire. The king got very angry with him and sent him to prison.

After three months, the king asked the soldier to bring the writer. Again he showed him some of his new stories and asked what he thought of them.

After reading them, the writer at once turned to the soldiers and said, “Take me back to prison. Thank you.”

一天，国王把他的故事拿给一位著名的作家看。和往常一样，他等着听赞美的话。但是作家说他的故事太无趣了，应该拿去烧掉。国王十分生气，把他关进了监狱。

三个月后，国王让卫兵把作家带了来，又给他看了一些自己的新作品，然后问他的想法。

读完故事后，作家立即转向卫兵说：“请把我带回监狱吧。谢谢。”
