　表示“在某人的家，在……店，在医生的诊所”这类意思时，常用单数名词所有格's 表示，而所有格后面的名词常常省略。

He was at the doctor's (clinic) in the morning. 他上午去诊所看病了。（他上午在诊所。 ）

He has gone to the barber's (shop). 他到理发店去了。

I went to my aunt's yesterday. 我昨天去我姑姑家了。
