撑着油纸伞，独自
彷徨在悠长，悠长
又寂寥的雨巷，
我希望逢着
一个丁香一样的
结着愁怨的姑娘。
Alone holding an oil-paper umbrella,
I wander along a long
Solitary lane in the rain,
Hoping to encounter
A girl like a bouquet of lilacs
Gnawed by anxiety and resentment.

丁香一样的颜色，
丁香一样的芬芳，
丁香一样的忧愁，
在雨中哀怨，
哀怨又彷徨;

The colour of lilacs,
The fragrance of lilacs,
With the worries of lilacs,
Feeling melancholy in the rain,

她彷徨在这寂寥的雨巷，
撑着油纸伞
像我一样，
像我一样地
默默彳亍①着，
冷漠，凄清，又惆怅②。

像梦一般的，

一枝丁香的，

到了颓圮④的篱墙，
走尽这雨巷。
Like a lilac
Floating past in a dream,
the girl floats past me;
Silently she goes further and further,
To the crumbling wall,
Out of the lane in the rain.
在雨的哀曲里，
消了她的颜色，
散了她的芬芳
消散了，甚至她的
太息般的眼光，
丁香般的惆怅④。
In the mournful melody of the rain,
Her colour has faded,
Her fragrance has disappeared,
Vanished into the void;

②惆怅(chóuchànɡ)：伤感，失意。
③太息：出声叹息。
④颓圮(tuípǐ)：倒塌。
作品解读：
《雨巷》是戴望舒的成名作，作者通过对狭窄阴沉的雨巷，在雨巷中徘徊的独行者，以及那个像丁香一样结着愁怨的姑娘的描写 ， 含蓄地暗示出作者既迷惘感伤又有期待的情怀，并给人一种朦胧而又幽深的美感。也有人把这些意象解读为反映当时黑暗的社会的缩影，或者是在革命中失败的人和朦胧的、时有时无的希望。
补充小知识：
诗人戴望舒
戴望舒，男，名承，字朝安，小名海山。诗人，翻译家。他先后在鸳鸯蝴蝶派的刊物上发表过三篇小说：《债》，《卖艺童子》和《母爱》，曾经和杜衡、张天翼和施蛰存等人成立了一个名谓“兰社”的文学小团体，创办了《兰友》旬刊。有著名的作品《雨巷》、《我的记忆》。
翻译名家杨宪益：
杨宪益，中国著名翻译家、外国文学研究专家、诗人。杨宪益曾与夫人戴乃迭合作翻译全本《红楼梦》、全本《儒林外史》等多部中国历史名著，在国外皆获得好评，产生了广泛影响。
