The Chinese currency renminbi (RMB), or the yuan, climbed one position to become the fourth most active currency for global payments by value in December 2021, with a share of 2.7%, said the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), a global provider of financial messaging services.

The value of RMB payments increased by 34.6% compared to November 2021, while in general all payments currencies increased by 6.44%.
从金额来看,2021年12月,人民币支付金额较11月增加了34.6%,同期全球所有货币支付金额总体增加了6.44%。
In terms of international payments, excluding payments within the Eurozone, the RMB ranked 6th, with a share of 1.91% in December 2021.
数据还显示,若以欧元区以外的国际支付作为统计口径,人民币位列第六,占比1.91%。
