The Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics have inspired more people with disabilities to participate in winter sports. By organizing ice snow carnivals, culture and sports exchanges for persons with disabilities in the Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei region, tens of thousands experienced winter sports. In recent years, 6 winter sports teams of disabled people were formed in Beijing, covering all 6 disciplines of the Beijing Winter Paralympics.

冬奥会、冬残奥会让越来越多的残疾人参与到冰雪运动中来。北京积极推广普及冰雪运动，组织冰雪嘉年华，开展京津冀三地残疾人文化体育交流，每年带动上万名残疾人踏冰玩雪。近年来，北京市组建6支残疾人冰雪运动队伍，实现了冬残奥会6个大项的全覆盖。
