Wu Chen, a deputy of the National People’s Congress, suggested that Beijing should have a Shougang Cultural Heritage Day. During that day, Shougang Park not only can introduce a large number of industrial heritage sites and Olympic culture heritage sites, but also hold interactive exhibitions, handicraft workshops and other themed activities to attract people to learn about Shougang's rich history. Wu said that a base for sports and sci-tech innovation should be established in Shougang Park, making good use of the Winter Olympics heritage. Competitive experience tours will attract more visitors.

全国人大代表、北京市建筑设计研究院有限公司总建筑师、首钢集团总建筑师吴晨建议北京设立“首钢文化遗产日”。遗产日期间，除了开放大批工业遗产和奥运文化遗产场所，还可以通过举办互动展览、手工艺作坊等主题活动，吸引民众到来了解首钢灿烂历史。同时，吴晨认为，首钢园应打造体育与科创基地，用活冬奥遗产。策划设计竞技体验旅游线路活动，吸引市民走进首钢园。
