    China's inflation remained generally stable in March despite sporadic domestic resurgences of COVID-19 and bulk commodity price hikes in the international market, official data showed on Monday.

    官方数据显示,尽管受国内多点散发疫情和国际大宗商品价格上涨等因素影响,我国3月份物价形势仍整体保持稳定。

    China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 1.5 percent year on year in March, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Monday. The figure was higher than the 0.9-percent year-on-year growth recorded in February.
    国家统计局4月11日发布的数据显示,3月份,CPI同比上涨1.5%,涨幅比上月扩大0.6个百分点。


    A breakdown of the data showed that food prices saw contraction narrow to 1.5 percent year on year, dragging the CPI down by 0.28 percentage points.
    其中,食品价格同比下降1.5%,影响CPI下降约0.28个百分点。


    Specifically, the price of pork, a staple meat in China, slumped 41.4 percent year on year, compared with a 42.5-percent decrease a month ago.
    食品中,猪肉价格下降41.4%,降幅比上月收窄1.1个百分点;


    However, the price of fresh vegetables, which skidded 0.1 percent in February, saw a 17.2-percent increase last month.
    鲜菜价格由上月下降0.1%转为上涨17.2%。


    Non-food prices rose 2.2 percent from a year earlier, contributing about 1.77 percentage points to the CPI growth.
    非食品价格上涨2.2%,影响CPI上涨约1.77个百分点。


    The core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, gained 1.1 percent year on year, flat with a month ago.
    扣除食品和能源价格的核心CPI,3月份同比上涨1.1%,涨幅与2月份相同。
