TUNE: SILK-WASHING STREAM
BOATING ON MY WAY BACK
The reeds and willow trees slant slightly in the breeze,
I need no window screen lest I can’t gaze my fill.
I’ll carry round the sands the shadow of the hill.
The little bridge divides the views of riversides.
On flowers in the isle alights a dragonfly.
Can I forget this stream where’er I go ’neath the sky?
