这是马致远写的八景（八首）小令中的一首。这支曲子写傍晚小山村雨过天晴的秀美景色。仰望天空，天空明净如洗，晚霞又照得满天光华绚艳，景色极为迷人。山村小镇四周的山峦，笼罩在夕阳的光辉里，给人一种柔和而明丽的感觉。

To the Tune of the Life-donating Sun

Outside the cottages of flower,
To the west of the thatched shops,
Evening glow spreads in clear sky after the shower.
Bathed in the setting sunshine are the mountain tops,
Like verdancy added to the brocade curtain drops.
