克里斯蒂娜·罗塞蒂

Christina Georgina Rossetti

克里斯蒂娜·罗塞蒂（Christina Georgina Rossetti，1830-1894），英国十九世纪有影响的女诗人，但丁·罗塞蒂之妹。12岁开始写诗，非常有才气。她受到其兄影响，常与“先拉斐尔兄弟会”的艺术家来往。她的诗作具有唯美主义风格。同时有一种独特的哀婉情调，优美纤巧中透露出自然与清丽，富有女性细腻而充满想象的敏感。她的两次恋爱都因宗教原因而失败，情感的创痛常隐现在诗作中，使她的诗流露出一定的悲观色彩。20世纪英国女作家吴尔芙认为，“在英国女诗人中，克里斯蒂娜·罗塞蒂名列第一。”

记着我吧，要是我已经远走，

Remember me when I am gone away,

远远地走进了那片寂静的国土；

Gone far away into the silent land;

那时你不能再把我的手握住，

When you can no more hold me by the hand,

我也不能半转身又回身停留。

Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.

记着我吧，要是你不再能够

Remember me when no more day by day

天天告诉我你设想的咱俩的前途：

You tell me of our future that you planned:

只要牢记着我呵：你很清楚

Only remember me; you understand

商量或祈求都太晚了，在那时候。

It will be late to counsel then or pray.

不过，你假如能把我一时忘掉，

Yet if you should forget me for a while

过后再记起，那么，请不要伤悲：

And afterwards remember, do not grieve :

因为，如果黑暗跟腐朽竟然会

For if the darkness and corruption leave

把我过去思念的痕迹留下来，

A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,

我多么愿意你能忘掉我而微笑，

Better by far you should forget and smile

而不愿你心中铭记着我而悲哀。

Than that you should remember and be sad.
