1. smooth that one over: 把这件事摆平。

smooth something over用来表示“缓和；平息；斡旋”，例如：It will be difficult for you to smooth over your differences after so many years.（经过了这么多年, 你想消除你们之间的分歧谈何容易。）

2. snap: 突然折断；拉断。

在这里，Something in me just kind of snapped.意思是“我的一些想法突然改变了。”

3. it was her time: 她的“大限”。

4. pull through: （大病、手术等后）康复，痊愈。或者是完成，做成（十分困难的事）。

例如：It's clear that the patient won't pull through.（病人眼见得不行了。）

5. eccentric: 古怪的，也可以直接做名词，表示行为古怪的人。

6. way ahead: 远远在前面，美语用法。
