二、序数词

表示顺序的数词叫序数词。

在句子中，序数词前面常常要加定冠词“the”。如：the first number 第一个数字，the third unit 第三单元

（一）1—3的序数词。括号内为序数词的简略形式（以下同）

first （1st ）second （2nd ）third （3rd ）

（二）4—19的序数词是由“基数词+th”构成

fourth （4th ）　fifth （5th ）　sixth （6th ）

seventh （7th ）　eighth （8th ）　ninth （9th ）

tenth （10th ）　eleventh （11th ）　twelfth （12th ）

thirteenth （13th ）　fourteenth （14th ）　fifteenth （15th ）

sixteenth （16th ）　seventeenth （17th ）　eighteenth （18th ）

nineteenth （19 th ）

（三）20—100的序数词

整十数的序数词是把整十数的词尾“y”改写成“i”，然后加“eth”

twentieth （20th ）　thirtieth （30th ）　fortieth （40th ）

fiftieth （50th ）　sixtieth （60th ）　seventieth （70th ）

eightieth （80th ）　ninetieth （90th ）

其他两位数序数词的表示方法由“几十几”变化而来，十位数不变，个位数上的基数词变成序数词

第21 twenty-first （21st ）　第22 twenty-second （22nd ）

第29 twenty-ninth （29th ）　第78 seventy-eighth （78th ）

“百”的序数词在hundred词尾直接加“th”

第100 one hundredth （100th ）

第188 one hundred and eighty-eighth （188th ）
