三、选择疑问句
选择疑问句（alternative question）的主要作用是让对方根据所提供的信息进行选择。选择疑问句的主要特征是连词or。朗读时前一部分用升调，后一部分用降调。
（一）选择疑问句的结构
从结构上看，选择疑问句有两种形式：1.一般形式；2.特殊形式。
1.一般形式：基本上和一般疑问句同形，所不同的是选择疑问句会在一般疑问句后面加了一个选择部分。基本形式是：一般疑问句+含or的选择部分
Do you like orange juice or apple juice？
Do you want to join the badminton club or basketball club？
Is your friend tall or short？
Can you skate or ski？
2.特殊形式：主要特点是前半部分为特殊疑问句，后半部分为选择疑问句。基本形式：特殊疑问句+含or的选择部分
What do you like，tea or coffee？
Which one is the biggest，the moon，the earth or the sun？
Who broke the window，Tom or Jack？
（二）选择疑问句的回答方式
选择疑问句的回答不能用yes或no作回答，而是要根据实际情况，在疑问句提供的答案中选择一个回答。
—Do you like orange juice or apple juice？你喜欢橘子汁还是苹果汁？
—I like orange juice.我喜欢橘子汁。
—Who broke the window，Tom or Jack？谁打坏了窗子，Tom 还是Jack？
—Tom./ Tom did./ Tom broke the window.是Tom打坏了窗子。
