Gypsy Rose Blanchard is giving more insight into her early life in the Lifetime docuseries The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

The six-episode series, which premiered on Jan. 5, features exclusive interviews with Gypsy before she was released from prison on Dec. 28, 2023.

Gypsy served eight years in prison for her role in the killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy was a victim of Munchausen by proxy, a form of abuse in which a guardian may seek attention or sympathy by making their child ill or exaggerating their illness.

Through a series of interviews conducted over 18 months, Gypsy takes viewers through the various forms of abuse she endured, while also sharing shocking new details about her upbringing.

Additionally, the docuseries features new interview footage from Gypsy’s family members, who share their sides of the story.
