Danielle Brooks did everything possible to help The Color Purple's big-screen adaptation come to life.

The actress, 34, revealed during a recent appearance on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show that she filmed a prominent dinner table scene with stand-ins after "everyone caught COVID."

Due to the situation, the scene had to be filmed three different times on three different days.
