Beijing hit back on Tuesday at criticism from United States President Barack Obama over acounter terrorism law being considered by Chinese lawmakers.
美国总统奥巴马评批中国立法者考虑制定反恐怖法，北京周二对此作出反驳。
“反恐法”counter terrorism law或anti-terrorism law，中国外交部发言人表示，实施反恐法对打击恐怖主义和信息泄露(combat terrorism and information leaks)是非常必要的。
发言人称，中方一向坚决反对利用信息技术优势(information technology advantages)或利用提供信息技术产品的便利条件实施网络监控(cyber surveillance)。中国很有可能要求国内外信息技术供应商(domestic and overseas information technology vendors )上交重要信息如，加密密匙(encryption keys), 软件源代码(software source codes)等。
奥巴马政府担心中国收紧对信息安全的控制(China's tightening grip on information safety)会损害美国占据中国高端IT市场(high-end IT market)的技术供应商的利益。
