11日全国政协十二届四次会议举行第三次全体会议，全国政协委员、中国电影家协会副主席、中国电影文学学会会长王兴东在会上表示，创新是文艺的生命，原创是竞争的力量。他建议全面提高保护原创的法度，加强打击侵权的力度，以提高文艺原创能力。

中国电影家协会副主席、政协委员王兴东表示，国家应加强保护原创剧本的力度。

保护原创剧本(original screenplays)的意义何在?王兴东指出，当下文艺原创疲软主要是急功近利(seeking quick success and instant profits)，心态浮躁。改编的多了，原创的少了;模仿的多了，创新的少了。现如今，美国电影以版权分账(copyright collection system)长驱直入，抢占我们的市场。面对激烈的竞争，想要提高文艺原创能力，就必须全面提高保护原创的法度，加强打击侵权(copyright infringements)的力度。

王兴东指出，应该尊重原创剧本，并建议让原创作者即编剧(screenwriters)分享衍生产品(derivatives)的收益。只有保障原创的智慧成为永久的实惠，才会有十年磨一剑的精品问世。
