A : Kat ! Kate ! Come here and clean this up for me ! Quickly !

B : Jack , what's going on ? I can hear you yelling from outside .

A : I need Kate help me to clean up .

B : Well that's no way to ask for help . Call nicely and she'll be more than happy to assist you . Just watch : Kate ! Please come here for a second .

A : Yes , Amy ?

B : Could you please clean up a little ? It shouldn't take you long .

A : Sure , no problem !

Conversation 2

A : Good morning , sir . How can I help you ?

B : Good morning . I left my briefcase behind yesterday . Has anyone handed it in ?

A : No , sir . Where do you think you've left it ?

B : I had breakfast in the restaurant , next to the bar .

A : Where were you sitting , sir?

B : At one of the tables on the terrace , near the fountain .

A : (Make a call)Mark , it's Lucy at reception . I've got a gentleman here with a missing briefcase .He thinks he left it in the restaurant at one of the tables on the terrace.(turn to B)Could you describe it , please sir?

B : Yes . It's black leather with a gold lock . It has my initials SW on the side .

A : OK. Thank you , Mark ...I'm sorry , sir . All they have is a brown one , but if you give me your details , we'll contact you if we find it .

B : Thanks . The briefcase is important to me . My name is Stephen , Thirty-six , Park Street .

A : And what's your phone number?

B : Three four six nine double eight zero two .

A : OK, I've got it .

A : Excuse me , sir?

B : Yes . Is there anything that I can do for you ?

A : Could you do me a favor ? My hands are full.

B : Sure , what ?

A : Just carry the suitcase for me , please .

B : With pleasure .

A : I'm not very busy right now . Do you want any help?

B : I don't think so . I'm just cleaning the room .

A : I'll be glad to help you .

B : Well , OK . It's nice of you to offer .

A : Hello , Jack , I'd like to ask you for a small favor . I hope you don't mind .

B : No , of course not . Anything I can do for you ?

A : You see , Sarah and I are going to give a party and we want to invite a lot of people . But you know our apartment , which really isn't big enough. We wonder if it's possible for us to have it at your place , just for one evening , you know .

B : Well, I'd love to , of course . But just now it would be a little difficult , I'm having the house redecorated.
