Conversation 1

A : Excuse me , sir . Is there a barber near here ?

B : Yes , the nearest one is at the third cross of this road.

A : I'm a stranger here . How can I get there , please ?

B : Just walk down the road for a few minutes , and you'll find it on your right .

A : Thank you very much .

Conversation 2

A : Excuse me , please . Could you tell me how to get to the No.10 Middle School?

B : Walk down this road , take the fourth turn to the right . Then you'll see it .

A : Is it far from here to there ?

B : No. It's only about five minutes' walk .

A : Many thanks !

B : Not at all.

B : Yes , of course . Would you like to walk there or take a bus ?

A : Er...Is it far from here ?

B : It's just about ten minutes' walk . Go along this street , on the third cross you'll find it on your left .

B : Not at all .

A : Excuse me , sir , Is this the road to the peace Store?

B : You could get there this way , but it'd be faster to go along the Wort Street .

A : Where's Wort Street , please?

B : Turn right at the third intersection, you'll see the street and then walk along the street to the south.

A : How far is it from the Wort Street ?

B : Just walk for a few minutes , you'll find it .

A : Thank you very much .

B : Judging by all the traffic , I'd say we're near the outskirts of the city .

A : What did I do wrong? Did I take a wrong turn ?

B : I'm not sure, but I think you turned right when you should have turned left on the flyover bridge .

A : Well , now we should turn back a few kilometres .

B : It seems that the traffic sign is much more important than the map .

A : I'm from Sydney , Australia . This is my first visit to the States and I want to see as many sights as I can .

B : Well , turn to the right at the traffic lights .

A : Will it take me long to get there ?

B : No, it's not far at all . In fact I'm going in the same direction . Come and I'll show you the way when we get to the crossroads .

A : That's very kind of you .

B : Not at all .
