美式：be all fingers and thumbs
thumb是“拇指”的意思， 在指头中不算特别灵活的。如果all手指都是thumbs，那肯定就不协调， 不灵活啦。所以all thumbs就是表示一个人：笨手笨脚，身体不协调的。
