v. 让步状语从句中的部分倒装形式

as/though引导的让步状语从句，其倒装形式为：

“副词/形容词/名词/动词+ as （though, that) +主语+谓语”,相当于although引导的让步状语从句。

Young as (though) he is , he knows a lot.

尽管年龄小，他知道的却很多。

Strange as it may appear , it is true.

尽管显得奇怪，但却是真的。

注意：

1）这种句型中提前的常是限制主语的形容词、副词、过去分词或名词。

Situated as it was near a market , the house was very quiet.

尽管位于市场附近，这房子却很安静。

Hard as he works , he makes little progress.

尽管学习很努力，他取得的进步却很小。

Fail as I did , I would try again.

尽管我失败了，我还要尝试。

Much as we tried , we failed to get the expected result.

尽管我们试了很多次，还是没有得到期待的结果。

2）提前的表语是单数可数名词时，名词前不加a/an；但是有形容词修饰的名词前置时，不定冠词不能省略。

Girl as she is , she is brave and outstanding.

尽管她是个女孩，却很勇敢出众。

A little child as he is , he can speak two foreign languages.

尽管他是个小孩子，却能讲两门外语。

3）动词提前后，主语后还应有一个情态动词may, might等或助动词do等。

Try as he might , Tom couldn't get out of the trouble.

尽管汤姆尝试了，却不能摆脱困境。
