442　look, see和watch

1　look 强调看的动作，指主动地、有意识地“看”，通常作不及物动词，后跟宾语时要用look at, look into等。

Look ! Some children are playing over there. 瞧，一些小孩在那边玩耍。

He looked in that direction and saw a plane. 他朝那个方向看，看见一架飞机。

May I look at the picture? 我可以看看那幅画吗？

2　see 意为“看见，看到”，强调看的结果，不一定是有意识地看，为及物动词。

If you close your eyes, you can't see . 闭上眼睛，你就看不见。

He saw a bird in the tree. 他看见树上有一只鸟。

I looked hard but saw nothing. 我尽力地看，但什么也看不见。

He looked round and saw nothing. 他转过头来看了一下，但什么也没看到。

We are going to see the play. 我们要去看戏。（有意识地）

3　watch 意为“观看，注视”，强调看的过程，为有意识地看，是及物动词。

We watched a football game yesterday. 我们昨天看了一场足球赛。

I watch TV every evening. 我每天晚上看电视。
