1　mend 常指简单的修理，维修，如缝补衣服、鞋袜，修理破损等。

I'll mend the chair. 我将把这把椅子修一下。

The fisherman is mending the net. 那渔民在补渔网。

2　repair 特指修理结构复杂的东西，如机器、车辆、电视机等。

He is repairing a washing machine. 他在修一台洗衣机。

The bridge is under repair . 大桥在修复中。
