450　miss和lose

1　miss 是及物动词，表示“错过（机会、某事），未赶上（车），未抓住（某物）”等，后跟名词、代词或动名词。

He missed the train yesterday. 他昨天没赶上火车。

You've missed your best opportunity. 你已经错过了最佳机会。

He has missed a lot of lessons. 他已误了许多课。

She threw the ball to Jim, but he missed it. 她把球扔给吉姆，但是他没接住。

I missed seeing her last week. 我上周没能见到她。

2　miss 表示“思念，想念”，后跟名词或代词。

He missed his parents so much. 他非常想念父母。

She sometimes misses home. 她有时候想家。

3　miss 表示“未注意到，来看到，未听到”。

The teacher spoke very slowly so that we wouldn't miss a word. 老师说得非常慢，这样我们就不会漏听一个字。

I missed some words in reading. 我在读的过程中漏了几个单词。

4　lose 表示“丢失，遗失”，指失去不再拥有，lost 还可表示“迷路”。

I've lost my umbrella. 我把伞丢了。

The old man has lost his memory. 那位老人失去了记忆。

The explorer lost his way in the valley. 那名探险者在山谷中迷了路。
